Job Summary

This role involves working as an IT System Administrator with a primary focus on Endpoint Management for the State Forestry Administration in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical administration of Windows servers and client systems, ensuring the security of the forestry infrastructure according to BSI standards in collaboration with the Information Security Officer. Day-to-day tasks include participating in and leading IT infrastructure projects, managing domain services (DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Printer Management), and overseeing Endpoint Data Protection (specifically EgoSecure). This position requires a proactive approach to continuously improving existing infrastructure and processes, providing 2nd level support via a ticketing system, and contributing to the training of IT specialists. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a challenging and varied role within a supportive, family-friendly public service environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma (FH)) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or comparable qualification (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration with professional experience and additional qualifications)

Experience

  • Professional experience in system integration (required for non-degree holders)
  • Experience in challenging and continuously improving existing infrastructure and processes
  • Experience with Endpoint Data Protection (e.g., EgoSecure) (desirable)
