Job Summary

This role involves working as a Senior Professional Full-Stack System Engineer within the IT System House of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), focusing on developing and maintaining one of Germany's largest IT landscapes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in operating and advancing the 'COLIBRI' system, which handles the application, calculation, and payment of unemployment benefits for approximately 40,000 users nationwide. Day-to-day tasks include planning, managing, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, analyzing system requirements, developing and monitoring software and hardware, and ensuring system availability and security. Key requirements include a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, several years of relevant professional experience, and fundamental knowledge of Java-EE, REST services, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git, Kafka, Nexus), Application Servers (like Payara), Docker, and Kubernetes. This position offers the opportunity to work in agile development teams, contribute to a critical social service system, and benefit from high flexibility, including up to 80% remote work.
