This role is for a Senior Professional System Engineer specializing in Backend Technology within the Business Intelligence/Artificial Intelligence unit, focusing on the Data Warehouse (DWH) of the Federal Employment Agency (BA). The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and operating software solutions and infrastructure that support the BA's massive data landscape, which includes over 600 billion data records used for official statistics and labor market research. Day-to-day tasks involve database programming, primarily using Oracle and the ETL tool ODI, conducting data analyses with SQL, and ensuring system availability and security. Key qualifications include a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with several years of relevant professional experience. Expertise in Oracle 19+ DBMS, SQL programming, and agile development techniques like pair programming and code review is essential. This position offers the flexibility of working up to 80% from home and the opportunity to contribute to one of Germany's largest IT landscapes, driving data-led decision-making in the public sector.
