Job Summary

This Expert Architect role is situated within the AI Center of Excellence (AICoE) at the IT Service Center of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), focusing on developing professional AI services to drive digitalization. The core mission is to design and develop robust IT systems, infrastructures, and entire landscapes for mission-critical AI products, ensuring optimal security, scalability, and performance. Daily responsibilities include formulating IT strategies centered on technological dependencies in AI projects, conducting ongoing market research on technological trends (especially Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models), and establishing IT security and compliance guidelines. The role also requires leading the planning and execution of Machine Learning and Data Mining projects across all phases. Candidates must hold a university degree (preferably in Informatics or Business Informatics) coupled with extensive professional experience in AI architectures, IT security, and Data Science project management. The position offers significant flexibility, including the option to work up to 80% remotely, while contributing to a state-of-the-art, secure ML stack.

Experience

  • Long-standing relevant professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and AI architectures
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security, compliance, and technical integration
  • Solid knowledge of technological trends, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methods and tools in Data Science projects

  • Location flexibility required among Nürnberg/Fürth, Berlin, Chemnitz, Krefeld, Hannover, or Lübeck. Position is fixed-term for 24 months. Ability to work up to 80% remotely (Home-Office).
