Job Summary

This part-time, permanent position seeks a skilled Laboratory Technician or Technical Assistant to support the Air Measurement Network department. The role focuses on the independent execution and supervision of trace gas and aerosol measurements, utilizing specialized instruments such as CPC, CRDS, and CAPS. Day-to-day responsibilities include self-reliant chemical-physical measurements, encompassing rigorous sample collection, control, calibration, and maintenance of all measuring devices at the station. A critical component of the job is the continuous conception, development, and quality assurance of procedures for monitoring reactive trace substances, gases, aerosols, and precipitation, with a specific focus on ultrafine particles. Candidates must possess a completed vocational qualification in a relevant technical or laboratory field, excellent knowledge of measurement technology, data analysis, and laboratory quality management. The role also requires strong interpersonal skills for public relations duties, including guiding visitor groups.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Physical-Technical Assistant, Chemical-Technical Assistant, Environmental Protection Technical Assistant, Physics Laboratory Technician, or Chemistry Laboratory Technician, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
