Job Summary

This leadership role involves managing the Section 58.3 at the State Agency for Nature, Environment, and Climate (LANUK NRW) in Duisburg, focusing on vocational training for environmental technology professions. The successful candidate will lead a team of six, overseeing the organization and optimization of all processes related to vocational education and continuing professional development. Key daily tasks include preparing, organizing, and conducting examinations, developing training manuals, and ensuring the curriculum adapts to changing legal requirements in labor and vocational training law. You will also be responsible for evaluating examination processes and moderating information events related to the examination system. This permanent position requires a completed scientific university degree, ideally with a focus on Business Administration, Project Management, or Environmental Engineering, coupled with strong leadership and organizational competencies to drive process innovation within a crucial state authority.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (University Diploma, Master, or Magister) with a relevant focus (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, or Environmental Engineering/Process Technology); OR Eligibility for Career Group 2, Second Entry Level; Proof of accreditation required if Master's degree is from a University of Applied Sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in personnel leadership, project management, and controlling (advantageous)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience combined with in-depth knowledge of Labor and Vocational Training Law (advantageous)
  • Experience in organizing projects or events (advantageous)
  • At least one year of documented professional experience in administration or project/event organization (required if degree is in Environmental Engineering)
