Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Waterways and Shipping Office (WSA) Neckar in Stuttgart, focusing on ensuring the safety and ease of shipping traffic and maintaining federal waterways. The specialist will be responsible for technically assessing and coordinating numerous construction projects and measures proposed by municipalities, cities, and sports clubs along the Neckar waterway, such as the construction of culverts, discharges, and landing stages. Key day-to-day tasks include evaluating third-party construction projects, issuing or denying police permits for usage and facilities, defining technical requirements for these projects, and coordinating specialized areas like hydrology and real estate. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or FH Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Landscape Architecture, coupled with strong technical assessment skills and the ability to work independently and interdisciplinary.
