Job Summary

This role is for an HMI Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) control technology, acting as a project engineer for the central Human-Machine Interface (HMI) component using Copa-Data Zenon. Day-to-day tasks involve creating and maintaining technical specifications and manuals, coordinating concepts, functions, and visual displays with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers. The engineer will handle HMI software project engineering, detailing operating functionalities, and visualizing plant components and operating states. A critical part of the job includes system integration and commissioning of HMI components within the test setup in Erlangen, ensuring flawless configuration, and supporting acceptance tests. Candidates must possess a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, coupled with practical experience in HMI system project engineering, specifically with Copa-Data Zenon. Strong knowledge of control technology protocols, especially IEC61850, is highly desirable, alongside fluent proficiency in both German and English.
