Job Summary

This crucial role at Germany's Federal Cyber Security Agency (BSI) involves leading IT projects focused on ensuring the secure digitalization of the energy sector, specifically supporting the energy transition (Energiewende). Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining functional requirements and IT security specifications for critical components such as Smart-Meter-Gateways and Smart Grid control devices. The Project Manager will coordinate technical standards and requirements with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, manufacturers, and industry users, promoting a "Security by Design" approach. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related technical field, coupled with professional knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly within the energy and digitalization domains. Practical experience in designing security architectures for networked systems and familiarity with hardware/software development and testing methodologies are essential.
