Job Summary

This role involves working as a Customer Support Engineer for Airbus Secure Land Communications, a leading provider of advanced communication solutions for public safety and defense sectors. The core daily responsibilities include the setup, installation, and maintenance of both virtual and physical Linux servers, specifically utilizing hardware like HP Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant, and HP 3PAR-Storage. You will be instrumental in providing 2nd Level Incident Management support for RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS systems, conducting complex fault analysis through Problem Management, and contributing to Operational Release Management for Core and Radio Networks. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT vocational training, coupled with strong technical knowledge in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Switching, Routing), Firewall technology, and virtualization (VMWare). Fluency in both German and English is a mandatory prerequisite for this challenging position.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, or vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician, or IT System Management Assistant, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in setting up, installing, and maintaining virtual and physical Linux servers.
  • Experience in 2nd Level Incident Management and Problem Management.
  • Knowledge of Operational Release Management (Core and Radio Network).
