Job Summary

This full-time position as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, located in Altenberge (near Münster), involves crucial analytical work focused on food, feed, packaging, and environmental samples. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing samples, conducting analyses according to standardized methods, and working safely within Biosafety Level 2 and 3 laboratories, which includes handling pathogenic microorganisms. Key tasks include identification using Maldi-tof/MS, meticulous documentation in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and contributing to the optimization and implementation of new laboratory procedures. Candidates must possess a relevant technical qualification (e.g., BTA, CTA, MTA, or Laboratory Technician certification) or equivalent professional experience. A reliable and quality-conscious approach, coupled with strong teamwork skills and intermediate fluency in German (B2 level), are essential for success in this practical and varied role, which requires readiness for shift and weekend work.
