Job Summary

This role involves the independent commissioning and functional testing of complex electronic interlocking systems (ESTW) and subsystems across Germany, primarily in the Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt regions. Key responsibilities include integrating system extensions, performing modifications, conducting detailed function checks, diagnosing and resolving errors, and creating comprehensive technical reports and protocols (testing, measurement, and fault logs). The successful candidate will communicate intensively with internal and external stakeholders, such as construction management and customers, to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent technician qualification with relevant experience) and must be prepared for extensive nationwide travel (approx. 80%) while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and standards like DIN VDE. This position is critical for maintaining and upgrading essential rail automation infrastructure within Siemens Mobility.

Required Skills

Education

Technical University Degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering OR Certified Technician (Informatics or Electrical Engineering)

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the installation, commissioning, and/or service of complex electro-technical systems (Required for Certified Technicians)
  • Proven track record in conducting functional checks, value adjustments, and thorough error diagnosis on devices and systems.
  • Experience in generating and supplementing comprehensive technical documentation, including testing, measurement, and fault protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations during commissioning activities.
