Job Summary

This Lead Software Architect role focuses on defining and shaping the software architecture for the high-quality Imaging Control System used in modern Computed Tomography (CT) scanners at Siemens Healthineers. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team architects, translating strategic goals and clinical requirements into robust architectural concepts. A key function is ensuring non-functional requirements are sustainably implemented and actively steering prototyping efforts. Candidates must bring long-standing professional experience as both a developer and a software architect, ideally within a regulated environment like medical software development. Required technical knowledge includes deep understanding of software architecture patterns, C#, .Net, container technologies, and security. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 60% mobile work within Germany, and the chance to drive innovation in the dynamic field of medical technology.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Software Architect Certification (SWA, SSWA) or comparable qualification (preferred).

Experience

  • Long-standing professional experience as both a developer and a software architect
  • Experience in an agile, interdisciplinary, and cross-location environment
  • Experience in medical software development or another regulated environment (preferred)
  • Very profound, long-standing professional experience in the field (alternative qualification to a degree)
