The successful candidate will design concepts and algorithms for cutting-edge protection and control technology products, ensuring the safe and long-term operation of customer networks. Daily tasks involve developing innovative solutions within international teams, applying expertise to write best-practice code according to industry standards, and implementing automated testing procedures. A core responsibility is continuously analyzing global market and technology trends in energy networks to identify new innovation and business opportunities. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, coupled with extensive professional experience in R&D or commercial software development. Fluency in both German and English is required, along with a solution-oriented, scientific approach to work.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in Research and Development (R&D) or commercial software development
  • Knowledge in the protection of electrical systems and grids
  • Knowledge in stationary and dynamic simulation of electrical energy grids
  • Professional experience in software development, ideally with C/C++
  • Secure handling of Git, Python, or Matlab/Simulink
