Job Summary

This role seeks an R&D Electronics Hardware Engineer to drive innovation in smart infrastructure, focusing on the conception and optimization of complex embedded systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating norm- and EMC-compliant schematics, selecting optimal components, and conducting rigorous testing (commissioning, functional, integration, and EMC tests). The engineer will collaborate closely with software development, layout design, and quality management teams, supporting products from design through manufacturing introduction and maintenance. Key qualifications include a university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, coupled with multi-year professional experience in hardware and PCB design. Expertise in circuit design using professional CAD tools (like Mentor DxDesigner) and deep knowledge of EMC-compliant design in industrial environments are essential. This position offers the opportunity to apply LEAN and PLM methodologies while actively prototyping new technologies, all within a flexible work environment requiring fluent German and English skills.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in hardware and electronics development

  • Expert knowledge in circuit design using CAD tools and simulation tools
  • Experience as a project staff member or sub-project manager, preferably in Design-to-Cost or Design-to-Value projects
  • Advanced knowledge of cost-optimized design during the development phase
