Job Summary

This role as a Commissioning Specialist for Safety and Security Systems involves driving the successful implementation of hazard detection systems, primarily focusing on fire and intrusion alarms, across the Berlin and Brandenburg region. Day-to-day responsibilities include the on-site installation and timely commissioning of these systems, conducting rigorous functional tests according to standards like DIN EN 14675 and VDE 0833, and managing the commissioning of associated IT components. You will also engage directly with clients regarding service acceptance and future service needs, and support the digitization efforts for remote service connectivity. The ideal candidate possesses multi-year experience in the installation and maintenance of security technology, specialized knowledge in programming fire and intrusion alarm systems, and a strong understanding of relevant industry norms (VDE, VdS). This position offers the opportunity to work within Siemens Smart Infrastructure, contributing to sustainable and efficient building solutions, with potential future involvement in training new team members.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed job-related vocational training in Communications and Telecommunications Technology, Information Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Systems Technology

Experience

  • Multi-year experience in the installation, setup, commissioning, and maintenance of safety and security systems
  • Professional experience with programming and supplying power to fire and intrusion alarm systems
  • Experience in training or mentoring new employees (future requirement)
