Job Summary

This Senior Specialist Planner role is critical for driving the modernization and digitalization of German rail transport, focusing specifically on renewing Rail Control and Safety Technology (RCS) systems across Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical conception, implementation, and quality assurance of complex planning projects involving Electronic Interlocking Systems (ESTW/DSTW), ETCS, Train Number Reporting Systems (ZN), Train Control (ZL), and Level Crossing Safety Systems (BÜSA). Day-to-day activities include acting as the primary technical contact for clients, developing customized solutions for complex traffic and technical demands, and ensuring seamless project execution from digital surveying and planning to final commissioning. This position requires deep expertise in railway RCS guidelines and practical experience with industry-specific planning tools like ProSig or ProVi LST, contributing to future-oriented solutions for the rail industry.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Rail Control and Safety Technology, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field with an electro-technical focus; 'Specialist Planner LST' certification from Deutsche Bahn AG required.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a PT1 Specialist Planner
  • Experience acting as a Quality Inspector
  • Experience acting as a Construction Submission Authority (BVB)
  • Expert knowledge in rail control and safety technology
