Job Summary

This role involves leading complex electrical engineering projects, focusing on sustainable and energy-saving power supply solutions within building technology and Smart Infrastructure, especially for public sector and critical infrastructure clients. The Project Manager will oversee projects from Thuringia to Hamburg, managing cost group 440 (heavy current systems). Day-to-day tasks include defining project strategies, planning phases, coordinating technical details, and ensuring successful realization according to technical, economic, and time constraints. The manager will lead multiple projects concurrently, provide technical guidance to project teams, act as the primary customer contact, and manage project controlling, including identifying opportunities for change management and additional customer needs to generate contract amendments. Success requires a background in electrical engineering, strong project management experience in electrical systems, and expertise in areas like medium/low-voltage switchgear or digital protection technology.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical Energy Technology or Electrical Energy Systems. Alternatively, a completed technical apprenticeship/training combined with a Project Manager certification or long-term Project Manager experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project teams within Electrical Energy Technology or Electrical Energy Systems
  • Project management experience in the construction or operation of electrical systems
  • Experience in managing projects for public sector and critical infrastructure clients
  • Long-term professional experience as a Project Manager (if technical education is alternative)

Languages

Additional

  • Valid driver's license (PKW-Führerschein). Experience with SAP is desirable. Must be able to work across multiple regions (Thuringia, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein).
