Job Summary

This full-time position as a Laboratory Technical Assistant offers the opportunity to join a dynamic, international research team within the Genetics department at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. The team focuses on cutting-edge research regarding the molecular foundations of symbiosis between plants and bacteria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent execution of complex molecular biological and microbiological experiments, including direct work with plants and microorganisms. Key daily tasks involve meticulous laboratory organization, precise documentation of procedures and results, and active collaboration within the international team. Applicants must possess completed vocational training (BTA, PTA, CTA, or equivalent) and solid practical knowledge in essential molecular biology methods such as PCR, plasmid cloning, sequencing, E. coli transformation, and Western Blotting. Essential soft skills include strong team spirit, open communication, and fluency in written and spoken English to ensure seamless collaboration.
