Job Summary
This crucial role involves leading the commercial implementation of a major knowledge and innovation campus project in Mönchengladbach, funded by federal and state grants. The Commercial Project Manager will be the primary contact for the management regarding all commercial matters, ensuring the project adheres to funding goals. Day-to-day tasks include structuring and building the commercial systems, managing grant funding, preparing business plans and annual financial statements (HGB compliant), and monitoring budget adherence. The ideal candidate must possess a university degree in an economic discipline and demonstrable, multi-year experience managing complex, large-scale construction projects, particularly within the public sector and involving grant management. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape a lighthouse structural change project from its inception, working closely with economic, political, and public stakeholders to transition the project successfully from planning through construction into operation. This is a part-time position (19.5 hours per week).
Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific university degree in an economic discipline
Experience
- Multi-year experience in the commercial management of complex, large-scale construction projects
- Experience in managing projects within the complex interest landscape of the public sector
- Experience in grant funding management
- Professional experience in preparing financial statements according to HGB
