Job Summary

This critical, full-time, and permanent role involves leading the Controlling team within a major city administration, focusing on financial and strategic oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for line and technical supervision, setting goals, reviewing work results, and managing personnel, conflict, and appraisal discussions. Key day-to-day activities include establishing a key-figure-based, automated reporting system, implementing and designing departmental and financial controlling, and developing strategic controlling within the department. The role requires strong analytical skills to support budget planning, analyze expenditures for youth welfare services (SGB VIII), and define data collection standards for specialized software (SoPart, Kita-Navigator, etc.). This position is ideal for a professional with a background in administration, law, or economics who is seeking to contribute actively to public welfare and drive efficiency improvements through strategic projects and inter-municipal benchmarking.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification with a focus on administrative, legal, or economic sciences, including job-related course content; alternatively, qualification for Career Group 2, 1st entry level of the non-technical administrative service, or completed Administrative Course II. Trainer aptitude or corresponding skills are required/desired.

Experience

  • At least two years of job-related professional experience or at least two years of experience in administrative processing within a public administration (required for certain educational paths)
  • Professional experience in business administration/controlling (preferred)
  • Practical experience in handling SGB VIII (preferred)
  • Experience in personnel management/supervision (implied by Team Leader role)

Additional

  • Must possess the qualification for Career Group 2, 1st entry level of the non-technical administrative service OR equivalent education and experience.
