Data & AI Platform Architect | Data & AI Platform Architect (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role is centered on driving the company's data strategy by stabilizing the existing Business Intelligence (BI) platform while spearheading the development and architecture of a new, cutting-edge AWS-based Data & AI Platform. The architect will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture, operational concepts, and continuous evolution of the platform, leveraging core AWS services like SageMaker Unified Studio, Glue, Redshift, and Lake Formation. Day-to-day tasks involve hands-on work in DataOps/MLOps, ETL/ELT processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate possesses multi-year professional experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Architecture on AWS, strong technical leadership skills, and fluent communication in both German and English. This position offers significant creative freedom and the opportunity to implement enterprise-wide data strategies, including the evaluation and introduction of Data Mesh principles.
