Job Summary

This role is centered on ensuring the reliable and fault-free operation of the passive fiber optic network. The technician will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, ensuring all network activities comply with technical and regulatory requirements. Key duties include performing OTDR measurements, analyzing fault locations, and implementing sustainable error resolution. The role also involves creating and updating splice plans and managing inventory documentation. Furthermore, the technician oversees network conversions, coordinates external fault clearance teams (covering civil engineering and fiber optic installation), and serves as the primary technical interface between internal experts and external service providers. Ideal candidates are certified Technicians or Master Craftsmen in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications, possessing deep knowledge of fiber optics (NE3 and NE4), proficiency in splicing, OTDR measurement, and routine experience with network documentation systems like Rimo.
