Job Summary

This is a pivotal role for an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to lead and develop the Electrical Engineering Team at a biotechnology company near Hamburg, Germany. The organization specializes in sustainable biological processes, operating the world's largest fermentation plant for plant cell cultures and producing pharmaceutical active ingredients under strict quality standards. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the availability and operational safety of complex, automated pharmaceutical-biotechnological systems across the 5,000 m² site. Key daily tasks include managing a team of three, overseeing all electrical installations, performing troubleshooting, coordinating planned maintenance and calibration of electrical systems, and managing external service providers. The role requires meticulous creation and optimization of electrical documentation compliant with GMP quality standards, ensuring plant safety in close coordination with the external Responsible Electrical Specialist (VEFK). Candidates must bring a minimum of 10 years of industrial and leadership experience, along with a hands-on approach and expertise in MSR technology, contributing significantly to planned site expansions and modernization.
