Job Summary
This research position focuses on developing a highly efficient and physically accurate numerical method specifically designed for describing particle breakage within Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations. The core objective is to enable large-scale DEM simulations applicable to industrial processes such as comminution, wear, and grinding. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in computational physics, demonstrated by a Master’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or a related field. Success in this role requires excellent programming proficiency, particularly in C++ and Python, to implement and optimize the numerical schemes.
