Job Summary

This critical global role seeks a highly skilled expert to serve as the Manufacturing Manager for Upstream Processing (USP) within the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) Drug Substance team. The successful candidate will provide essential technical expertise to the manufacturing process owner, focusing on areas such as cell bank strategies, seed train development, production bioreactor technologies, and cell separation methods. Key responsibilities include contributing to the development, optimization, and lifecycle management of upstream processes across all manufacturing stages. A core function involves close collaboration with CMC teams during product launch activities, ensuring successful scaling procedures from laboratory models to full-scale production. The role requires an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in fields like Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering, coupled with at least five years of extensive experience in USP technologies and a proven track record in technology transfer and regulatory familiarity, making this an impactful position in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
