Job Summary

This permanent role seeks an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering for Technical Building Services (TGA) to manage complex construction projects at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The core responsibilities involve leading and steering building projects, acting as the project manager, and coordinating all aspects of the Electrical Engineering discipline within the project team. Day-to-day tasks include defining project scopes, developing solution variants, conducting economic viability calculations, and coordinating external specialist planners. A critical function is ensuring strict adherence to project goals regarding costs, schedules, and quality across all service phases (1-8) of the HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers). Candidates must possess a completed university degree (Bachelor/Dipl-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering or a similar field, coupled with several years of professional experience in construction project execution and comprehensive knowledge of relevant building technology regulations.
