Job Summary

This vital role seeks a Coordinator of Digitalization to strategically drive the digital transformation across all school types in Kiel. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and maintaining the municipal media development plan, ensuring alignment with individual school needs. Day-to-day activities include consulting and supporting schools in formulating their media concepts, coordinating processes with key stakeholders like principals and external service providers, and leading workshops and working groups. A core function involves financial management, including coordinating funding and developing short-, medium-, and long-term investment plans for digitalization hardware and infrastructure procurement. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field and significant experience in system coordination and networked IT systems, offering the opportunity to take ownership and guide major public sector digital initiatives.

Required Skills

Education

Completed University Degree (Bachelor or FH Diploma, minimum 6 semesters) in fields such as Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, or Communications Engineering; OR Civil Service qualification for the first entry level of career group two, Technical Services specialization.

Experience

  • Minimum 1.5 years of relevant professional experience in System Coordination, Administration, and Support
  • Minimum 1.5 years of relevant professional experience handling networked IT systems
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and manage tasks
