Job Summary

This position calls for a dedicated Research Associate to join the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry at TU Bergakademie Freiberg on a part-time (20 hours/week), fixed-term contract of three years. The core responsibilities involve the synthesis of various novel Silicon compounds and their comprehensive structural characterization using advanced analytical methods, including IR, Raman, UV/Vis, and NMR spectroscopy, as well as Chromatography (GC), XRD, and Elemental Analysis (EA). Beyond laboratory work, the role requires extensive literature review and the effective presentation of research results through manuscripts, lectures, and posters. A crucial academic component involves supervising practical courses and conducting seminars for institute modules. Candidates must hold a University Diploma or Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, demonstrate strong independent and interdisciplinary working skills, and possess excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
