Job Summary
This Scientist role is situated within the Analytical Development department in Martinsried, focusing on developing and optimizing mass spectrometry assays crucial for characterizing RNA and Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) components. The successful candidate will design and implement targeted and untargeted LC-HRMS workflows for comprehensive structural analysis of small molecules, nucleotides, and mRNA. Day-to-day responsibilities include significant wet-lab work, troubleshooting complex LC-MS systems, documenting results for regulatory reports and patent applications, and mentoring junior team members in best practices. Candidates must hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences) and possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in LC-MS method development, with specific expertise (2+ years) in high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) data analysis for biomolecules. Experience
- Minimum 5 years in LC-MS method development and maintenance

- Expert knowledge in HRMS data acquisition and software-assisted analysis of RNA, oligonucleotides, and small molecules
