Job Summary

This role involves leading a small team within the Herbicides Early Biology research unit at BASF Agricultural Solutions, focusing on analyzing the mode of action of new herbicidal active ingredients. The successful candidate will observe and evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and academic research to derive relevant insights for their work area. Day-to-day responsibilities include actively developing recommendations for new products and applications within the innovation process, initiating and supporting market- and customer-focused projects, and documenting progress and milestones. The Team Leader will also organize workflows in coordination with laboratory and project teams, lead less complex projects, and provide technical guidance to assigned employees while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. A doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, coupled with expertise in plant physiology and molecular biology, is essential for success in this challenging and impactful position.
