Job Summary

The Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute for Wood Research is seeking a Data Management and Knowledge Transfer Specialist to join their Bio-based Raw Materials and Composites team in Hamburg-Bergedorf. This role involves acquiring, interpreting, and publishing scientific data for the forestry and timber industry, supporting research projects through digital data management, and potentially developing and implementing AI algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science or related fields, experience with AI and digital transformation, and a strong ability to prepare, analyze, and present research data. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research on the sustainable use of wood and natural materials, including aspects of reuse, recycling, and the circular bioeconomy.
