Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled Laboratory Technician specializing in Microbiology and Molecular Biology within the consumer goods industry. The primary responsibilities include performing core molecular biological activities such as DNA extraction and Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (QPCR), preparing laboratory media and dilution series, and accurately determining optical density and germ counts. The technician will also be responsible for monitoring growth curves, preparing isolates, and providing crucial support for in vivo studies, including sample collection and shipping. Candidates must possess a relevant scientific qualification, such as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) certification, Biological Laboratory Technician degree, or a Bachelor's degree in Biology, coupled with substantial professional experience in a certified laboratory environment. Essential requirements include mastery of sterile working techniques, the ability to work independently and meticulously, and professional fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
