Job Summary

This critical remote role involves taking technical responsibility for the automation, control, and regulation of large-scale power generation systems, primarily focusing on photovoltaic (PV) and storage facilities. The developer will be instrumental in implementing complex grid technology specifications according to German VDE standards (4105, 4110, 4120) and programming sophisticated control systems. Key day-to-day tasks include developing, implementing, and maintaining control algorithms, specifically using Phoenix Contact PLC systems programmed in Structured Text (IEC 61131). Furthermore, the position requires integrating plant controls into monitoring platforms like VCOM and actively supporting Redispatch 2.0 processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and automated data provision. This is an attractive opportunity for professionals with a background in automation or electrical engineering who want to drive the energy transition by contributing to the expansion of Europe’s leading energy software platform, Heartbeat.
