Job Summary
This role at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) involves contributing to vital research aimed at understanding cancer development and improving treatments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent processing, extraction, and characterization of nucleic acids and proteins from human samples, including single-cell preparation and flow cytometry. Key duties also include managing cell lines, performing various laboratory techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation, and preparing samples for sequencing. The position requires meticulous computer-aided documentation and active participation in general lab organization and safety. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) / Medical Technical Assistant (MTA) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Experience in handling primary tumor material
- Understanding of medical and tumor biological contexts
Languages
Additional
- Must provide proof of immunity against measles (due to IfSG regulations). This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.
