Job Summary

This role as a Maintenance Engineer in Facility Management, based near Munich with Airbus Defence and Space, involves ensuring the operational readiness and legal compliance of critical aerospace infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include comprehensive vendor management, encompassing selection, quotation, technical clarification, and invoice control. A core responsibility is the coordination and supervision of external contractors, including setting up work instructions and managing inspection, maintenance, and testing schedules. The engineer manages all structural maintenance topics (roof, safety barriers), fire protection, and security technology, while driving the digitalization of building documentation. Furthermore, the role involves coordinating expert inspections and participating in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., Betriebssicherheitsverordnung). Key requirements include a degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant Master Craftsman/Technician qualification, coupled with at least two years of experience in maintenance or project management. Mandatory expertise covers fire alarm systems, safety technology, structural building knowledge, and relevant regulatory standards (DIN/VDE/VDS).
