Job Summary

This role involves shaping the future of aerospace by working with Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH in Donauwörth as a Software Integration and Verification Engineer. The core responsibilities include analyzing, refining, and maintaining software requirements for embedded systems, ensuring compliance with military and civilian certification standards like DO-178C. Day-to-day tasks focus on defining and implementing verification and test strategies, developing automated and manual test scenarios, and executing formal qualification tests on software test benches. The engineer will conduct root-cause analyses, create detailed problem reports, and ensure high-quality documentation. A key aspect of the role is acting as a Scrum Master, moderating agile processes, coordinating sprints, and coaching the team on agile principles, while collaborating closely with systems, avionics, and flight test engineering teams to deliver innovative, certified software solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or qualified vocational training with successful further education (minimum Technician/Master level) and relevant equivalent professional experience

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years in Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Engineering, IT/Information Systems, and Project Management
  • Practical experience in software development for Embedded Systems
  • Experience in software verification, specification, and agile development (Scrum)
  • Experience in the specification and/or verification of embedded real-time software
  • Familiarity with airworthiness processes and certification standards (e.g., DO-178C)
