Job Summary

This role involves operating, troubleshooting (L1/L2), and continuously optimizing modern IT systems and infrastructure for Airbus Defence and Space. The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle, including the design, conceptualization, installation, and configuration of complex infrastructure components. A major focus is placed on automation, utilizing tools like PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, and ensuring system stability through robust monitoring and documentation. Key tasks also include managing identity, implementing security measures according to established concepts, and creating comprehensive emergency and disaster recovery plans. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, several years of relevant professional experience in areas such as virtualization (VMware, HyperV), Windows/Linux environments, networking (Cisco, Fortigate, MikroTik), and storage systems. Fluent German and English skills are mandatory for effective communication with clients and subcontractors in this permanent position within the aerospace sector.
