Job Summary

This part-time, fixed-term position as a Research Associate at the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre in Frankfurt focuses on analyzing the environmental impacts of agricultural and forestry product consumption, specifically food footprints. Day-to-day tasks involve extensive research into how information regarding environmental footprints related to food consumption is currently integrated into curricula and teaching materials in Hesse and São Paulo. The associate will also process existing Senckenberg and ISOE research data on environmental footprints, support stakeholder engagement activities in both Germany and Brazil, and assist in creating new educational materials. This role requires strong IT and programming skills, expertise in biodiversity, agriculture, and footprinting approaches, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a transdisciplinary project team. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to knowledge synthesis and solutions development regarding biodiversity promotion and sustainable action.
