Job Summary

The City of Freiburg is seeking a dedicated Head of Technical Equipment to lead and coordinate the technical services department within the municipal real estate management division. This critical leadership role involves overseeing the technical building equipment (TGA) across more than 700 city-owned buildings, including heating, sanitation, climate control, electrical, and network technology, alongside building automation and energy controlling. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading approximately 50 employees, including four team leads, structuring organizational processes, and actively shaping the long-term technical and organizational standards for public buildings. Key qualifications include a relevant engineering degree and multi-year professional experience in technical facility management or related fields, coupled with strong leadership skills and expertise in environmental and energy management.
