Job Summary

This Service Developer role is situated within the eScience group at GWDG, a joint IT competence center for the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Society. The primary focus is contributing to the ITsJOINTLY project, which aims to develop a scalable, AI-supported content management system for educational materials (Open Educational Resources). Day-to-day responsibilities include applying generative Artificial Intelligence, developing features based on Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as metadata generation and content analysis, and supporting the onboarding of new platform partners. Candidates should possess a university degree in a technical field like Computer Science or Mathematics, coupled with strong programming skills and proven experience in developing and operating Web Services or APIs. This position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of applied computer science, research data infrastructure, and cutting-edge AI technology, with the potential for long-term collaboration and PhD studies.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Digital Humanities, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience
