Job Summary

The Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) is seeking two Security Analysts to join their new Cybersecurity Center (SOC). These roles, based in Frankfurt a.M., Wettzell, or Leipzig, focus on critical Tier 1 security operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security infrastructure, analyzing log data using SIEM and EDR systems, identifying attack patterns, and classifying security incidents. Analysts will also document incidents and help improve detection rules and playbooks. One analyst will specifically manage the SOC's Quality Management System (QMS), while the other will organize and deliver training and continuing education within the SOC. Ideal candidates possess a background in IT system integration, experience with SIEM/IDS/EDR solutions, and foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and IT security.
