Job Summary

This critical role involves ensuring the functional and operational safety of all technical systems within a specialized infrastructure area, which includes underground facilities, for the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The Operations Engineer will assume full operator responsibility, focusing on planning, monitoring, and optimizing the operation and maintenance of all technical installations, including HVAC, electrical systems, and monitoring technology. A core responsibility is personnel management, leading a team of 29 skilled workers across various trades, and conducting necessary training and instruction. Furthermore, the role requires analyzing costs, developing comprehensive concepts for system modernization, and creating technical specifications for procurement. The engineer will also be heavily involved in supporting construction projects, supervising technical building maintenance, and coordinating the handover of technical facilities from third parties.
