Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to food safety within the innovative field of vertical agriculture, supporting both facility operators and cantonal food control authorities. You will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive bibliographic study on current food safety knowledge, performing detailed hazard analysis, and identifying Critical Control Points (CCPs) within an existing vertical farming pilot plant at Agroscope. Key tasks include planning, implementing, and validating a robust HACCP system on-site, supported by necessary laboratory analyses. The position culminates in the production of a comprehensive project report detailing the risk analysis of the cultivation system. Candidates must hold a university degree and a PhD in natural/food sciences or a related field, possess prior experience in food safety, and demonstrate strong scientific reporting and linguistic sensitivity skills. This role is ideal for a pragmatic and autonomous scientist passionate about interdisciplinary work and bridging scientific knowledge with practical application.
