Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position at Agroscope focuses on ensuring high standards of food safety within innovative Vertical Farming production systems. The successful candidate will initiate the project by conducting a comprehensive literature review, followed by a detailed Hazard Analysis (HA) to evaluate the Critical Control Points (CCP) in the existing pilot facility. A core responsibility involves planning, implementing, and validating a robust HACCP concept on-site, supported by laboratory analytical investigations. The role culminates in drafting a comprehensive project report that includes a thorough risk analysis of the cultivation system. This crucial work will provide essential insights for both facility operators and cantonal food control authorities, requiring a scientific all-rounder with a PhD in relevant disciplines who can bridge the gap between scientific research and practical application.

Required Skills

Education

University Degree with Doctorate (PhD) in Natural Sciences, Food Sciences, or related disciplines.

Experience

  • Completed university studies with a Doctorate (PhD)
  • Initial professional experience in the field of Food Safety
  • Experience in drafting scientific reports, publications, and expert opinions
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary scientific environment

Additional
