The Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart is seeking a dedicated Linux and Virtualization System Administrator to join its Platforms Team within the Department for Technical Infrastructure and IT Security. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the stable and secure operation of the city's central IT infrastructure, focusing on Linux-based systems and virtualization technologies like Proxmox and VMware vSphere. Your daily tasks will include orchestrating and administering servers, advising internal clients, coordinating external service providers, and debugging complex issues. You will also be responsible for applying BSI basic protection guidelines, securing backups, and driving innovation through process automation and script development.
