Job Summary
This role is for a Controls Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter systems, a critical technology for sustainable energy. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and verifying control systems for HVDC projects, particularly focusing on higher-level controls. Day-to-day tasks involve creating design specifications, parametrizing control system interfaces, developing control logic using MATLAB/SIMULINK, and conducting comprehensive software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests. This position offers the chance to contribute significantly to the global energy transition by ensuring efficient power transmission from renewable sources like offshore wind parks to the electrical grid, working within a close-knit team on cutting-edge technology.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar
Experience
- At least two years professional experience (preferably)
- Experience with developing controls systems, preferably in a power systems context
- Knowledge of MMC converter technology
- Experience in the configuration of automation systems (advantageous)
