Job Summary

The Service Engineer will join the Marine Service Team, focusing on programming, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation and drive systems aboard national and international vessels. Day-to-day tasks involve functional testing, inspection of converter systems and SCADA systems, and rigorous fault analysis to ensure proper system function. This role requires strict adherence to electrical standards (VDE, CE) and safety regulations, as well as close coordination with project teams and external service providers. A key responsibility is documenting all activities, test results, and recommendations in detailed reports, and conducting training programs for both project teams and end customers on system operation and maintenance. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an electrical engineering profession or university degree in automation or drive technology

Experience

  • Professional experience in comparable activities (Service Engineering)
  • Knowledge of automation and drive systems on ships
  • Knowledge of legal regulations regarding occupational safety, quality management systems, standards, and rules
