Job Summary

The University Hospital Bonn is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join a leading research program focused on the genetic and immunological mechanisms of childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and very-early-onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEO-IBD). This role involves expanding ongoing efforts to investigate monogenic causes of autoimmunity in children, utilizing advanced genomic approaches for genetic discovery, and conducting mechanistic immunology to functionally validate candidate genes and pathways. The successful candidate will leverage relevant model systems such as mouse, zebrafish, and organoid platforms to gain deeper mechanistic insights. This position offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment bridging clinical pediatrics, human genetics, immunology, and translational science, with access to state-of-the-art technologies and strong collaborative networks.
