Job Summary

This SecOps Engineer role, based at one of BWI's German locations, is crucial for ensuring the digital future of Germany's armed forces. You will be instrumental in operating, modernizing, and securing one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany, specifically within the Cloud Operation Hub. Day-to-day, you'll provide 1st and 2nd level support, implement architectural adjustments for IT security, and integrate operational solutions into DevOps processes. Key responsibilities also include managing monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for cloud structures, developing automation solutions with Infrastructure as Code, and optimizing container deployments. You'll conduct vulnerability analyses and contribute to cloud-native solution development within an agile DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, and strong knowledge of Kubernetes clusters, Git, and Linux. Excellent customer interaction skills and fluent German and English are essential.
